Book Review #2 Catching Fire

Author: Suzanne Collins
Report by: Matthew Dagenais

Fresh off the brutal Hunger Games victory, fearless, smart, young, Katniss Everdeen, And her strong, outgoing, partner, Peeta Mellark have returned home to district 12, Panama.  But now they must face the victory tour. What Katniss doesn't know is that her actions in the games have sparked farther-reaching consequences then she could have imagined.  There are murmurs of uprisings in other districts. Will Peeta and Katniss be able to express their undying love for each other, or will they face the consequences of President Snow.
Catching Fire is a violent, jarring, heart-stopping novel that generates nearly constant suspense. Catching Fire is brilliantly plotted novel and is perfectly paced.  While reading this book you really become a part of it.  Suzanne Collins really makes you feel as if you’re a game maker watching over Katniss's every move.  The book brings constant amounts of suspense, action, and romance and I believe is a perfect audience for almost anyone over the age of 10.  This is one of very few books where you get action, comedy, drama, and horror and that’s what makes it so fantastic that you can hardly put the book down. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to start the next book in the series!
